Stagecoach signs £1.5m CCTV Contract
Public transport company, Stagecoach, recently spent £71m on it’s new range of buses and will spend a further £1.5m to protect the buses using CCTV systems.
The deal will include the maintenance and storage of the video and audio from the CCTV system.
The cameras will operate over a wireless network and has been adopted due to the rising figures in crime and fraudulent insurance claims on the fleet of buses.
The company spokesman stated that crime on Stagecoach buses is very low despite being the most popular form of transport in Britain. The new cameras will enhance the feeling of security to its passengers.
