Only One Council Ready for CCTV Adminstered Fines
Reportedly, only one council is ready for the newly administered enforcement rules proposed by the government.
The new rules will not only see Traffic Wardens able to hand out fines but now CCTV operators can also send fines via the post to offenders.
Currently, only Kent Council have applied to put the new rules to use and Anti-parking fine campaigners say the lack of support from other councils show the system is flawed.
The government have replied to campaigners stating the new rules are not a duty but a power and feel more councils will request for the power in the future.
